Valve employee u/jeffhill even said himself that “Account Level is a poor metric of how old is the account”, and that’s why they added Total Games Counter to profiles. Why would they remove it?

Remember when they said “Smurfs are not welcome in Dota 2?” and after an initial banwave nothing happened?

I wish Valve would stay consistent on their promises and stop doing “one-time things” that don’t last more than a month.

It’s so weird seeing this sub bitching about Smurfs. I never encounter Smurfs. Compared to 2018-2019

I guess, but if this information was easily available, they also would be easily proven wrong. Obscurity always validates the accuser.

The other thing, is if I see really low game number, I know to not necessarily report for griefing either. Very infrequently, bad play and griefing are hard to tell apart, for a very new player that communicates zero.

Experimental or not - it really was a nice feature, and considering that slamming people with a smurf report is a pretty big claim; not having it makes it almost impossible to be certain if the steam account is also entirely private.
