Hi! I recently updated to Steam OS 3.5.7 in stable. One issue I’m finding is that while with 3.5 we got more scaling options, now when I launch games and change the resolution to below native resolution (so below 1280 x 720 or 1280 x 800) it no longer uses the scaling filter I applied with the OS and seems to just be stretched. I tested this by changing the scaling mode and filter with several games using resolutions below native resolution, and it looks the same. I also tried setting the resolution as below native in the launch options, but it didn’t seem to make a difference and the game just launched the same as it did before when I set the resolution tod result or native.

This is a problem because oftentimes even playing below native resolution using the OS built-in FSR as a scaling filter you could get a decent image, but now whenever I play at sub-native resolutions and there is no in-game upscaling, the image looks quite blurry.

Anyone know what’s going on here? Any idea of how to fix this?

Put the display mode to windowed instead of full screen or borderless in the in game options. It should work.

When I change to windowed for most games (e.g. Horizon Zero Dawn) I can’t set the in-game resolution anymore and it pretty much just fills the screen.
