What would y’all think about us trying to trade for him in the off-season? He wants out of NY, he played with Stroud in college, it sounds crazy to call us one but he wants to play for a team with a winning culture and mentality. The only thing that I could see not working out would be the asking price for him.

WR isn’t really an area of need for this team, so why overpay for one in a trade?

WR is absolutely a position of need for this team. The only guys we have for the future rn are Nico and Tank. An elite talent to free those guys up would be incredible. CJ is elevating these dudes rn, imagine what he could do with Wilson. I hate to be that guy, because I love Nico, but (in my opinion) Nico is just pretty good, not amazing, and definitely not a WR1. I’d say teams like Philly and Seattle to name a few absolutely put out WR corps to shame at the moment.

He’s an elite young WR with 3 full years of rookie contract control. The conversation starts at 2 1st rounders, with probably more. We have needs in far too many other places to handicap out picks for the next 2 years.

We need to elevate the quality of the defense so CJ does not have to play hero ball in the final minutes of a game to squeak by. That will come to bite us agains the elite QBs in the AFC playoffs
