So offensively he’s seem to improved on lower usage. Defensively he’s, uh, better by 1 point I guess, but still fouling at a similar rate which is one of things Monty wanted to improve.
Is this due to coaching or was Ivey always just going to take this natural improvement?
I think he wanted to see what Killian and Jaden could do as starters in the backcourt with Cade, and it was easier to bench Killian after starting him than it was to bench Jaden that same way. Also, it sent a “play defense to earn time” message to Ivey, so I guess it did improve him.
