Only 3 games starting, so small sample, just wanted to see initial thoughts

So offensively he’s seem to improved on lower usage. Defensively he’s, uh, better by 1 point I guess, but still fouling at a similar rate which is one of things Monty wanted to improve.
Is this due to coaching or was Ivey always just going to take this natural improvement?
Now, bench Cade
Or… Here me out here … You start Ivey but if he makes a mistake you pull him. Didn’t Monty say that he was against benching for mistakes but preferred to just pull them aside? The whole 20 minutes only thing was so dumb, especially since there was nobody more talented on the floor. Freaking Killian Hayes playing over Ivey is so dumb
still early but i attribute slightly improved efficiency due to reduced minutes and usage rate year over year. is he more efficient due to coaching, yes and no. yes because monty is playing him less but no as in monty hasn’t made him actually better
It’s bs to bench a player we drafted so high then ask him to play better than… Killian Hayes!!! Our team is in shambles
Halliburton was 0-5 from the field and 1 block against when guarded by Ivey last night. I think it did do something but it still was not necessary at all. I think Jaden would’ve worked to get better regardless of being benched or not
I think he wanted to see what Killian and Jaden could do as starters in the backcourt with Cade, and it was easier to bench Killian after starting him than it was to bench Jaden that same way. Also, it sent a “play defense to earn time” message to Ivey, so I guess it did improve him.
