So I finished watching Ep4 and damn that was a hellva intense fight.

One thing I remembered this episode was the ending of Season 1. When he got folded like a biscuit by his father who didn’t even want to kill him and then Allen tells him that more people as powerful as Nolan are coming for Earth and will kill any resistance, his answer is “I’d finish highschool”.

I was like wtf ? But I thought that just might be a funny line since Allen follows it up and makes it a joke.

We get to S2 and he has done no training whatsoever, the Guardians are still a shit show and the Earth is basically a apple sitting on a table to be taken by Vilturm empire.

Mark has no idea of the stakes here. The moment he gets thrown in combat even the Mauler twins body him (More like Mauler gang but still).

Like look at anime stories. The protags go through some of the most intense training to prepare for the threats at hand.

Hell forget anime, Ben Tennyson when he was 10 knew better to train for the main boss when Vilgax sent his lackeys. And Ben is very cocky so despite his massive arrogance and the fact that you can count on one hand how many people in the multiverse can kill him he still trains to get stronger.

Meanwhile pretty much every Viltrumite can kill Vincible at this point in the story.

So I guess get torn a new one here might push him into taking the vitrumite problem more seriously.

Yeah I was really excited about that. The whole season I was noticing more and more this dude getting the shit beaten out of him every day, and by the time the intestines guy was holding him down with one finger in the cave I was like PLEASE, let’s burn a fuckin episode on a training arc or something
