It’s frustrating being a big, defensive-minded team, and not closing out possessions with rebounds.

With McDaniels out and room in the rotation, I wish Finch would try throwing Miller out there in games like last night. We’re not getting much from Shake or even Naz off the bench these days-- why not throw one of the best rebounders in the draft out there and see what kind of energy he brings?

I agree. While I get the “if he was ready, he’d play” sentiments, that isn’t Finch’s track record. He hates playing rookies as a rule. I’d really love to see Miller get even 5-6 minutes in the second quarter to see how he responds. Until Jaden gets back, we’re really going to struggle against certain teams.

You never know until a player gets a chance to play. Let a guy get some minutes and if he gets some confidence it could turn into something great and he could become part of the rotation.

They go to Iowa and rip shit up and then when they come up they won’t even give them garbage minutes. And of they do it is with the rest of the bench. These players need a chance to play with the starters against a poor team and see if things can develop.

Naz is what he is - a scorer. They’re not going to dig into his minutes for getting worked on the boards, they’re going to plan on him countering that with buckets. As for Shake, it’s Brown that’s going to challenge his minutes. After Brown, the next 2 guys to get a chance would almost certainly be JMac and Garza. Only way Miller gets minutes is multiple injuries or he is looking absolutely unbelievable in practice.

    My thoughts during game too.

Either Miller or Minot would have added some of that defensive pressure that they were missing without McDaniels. Even short moments of them could have really helped.
