Honestly starting to feel a lot of opinion news on the team will start a friction/divide unless it is handled with ease or swiftly.
Remembering what Arteta said when he first join as manager, along the lines of how outside sources/influences want to divide us, and we have to try keep it together.
I don’t think anyone would do anything to disrupt the team, but this sort of thing is factitious. Ramsdale is a top man and has the right attitude, but it’s only natural for him to be concerned. It’s similarly normal for a guy like Ben White - whose known Ramsdale since he played at Newport County - and other English players who have known him a while, to have opinions. Arteta has shown himself to be very good an keeping unity in the team despite some very controversial decisions, so I’m not really all that worried.
However, there is a group of players between Ramsdale, Reiss, and ESR, who were all told they were “part of the plan”, either through renewal or otherwise, and now not playing, that makes me wonder if Arteta’s credibility will take a hit.
City losing 0 players to AFCON is the least surprising thing tbh, Pep isn’t beating those allegations.
