If the FO goal was to maximize his value by trade deadline so they can get better trade offers compared to the ones they received in the summer then sure it makes sense.

So how do they expect to get better offers if they’re not actually utilizing/maximizing Pascal at all on this offence? Then come trade deadline his value is worse compared to his past 2 seasons and could possibly walk this summer as well.

I know it’s only been 3 games, but if this keeps up this would be the last straw for this FO.

He is just not playing well yet, he doesn’t seem very engaged, and his focus is off too

Both him and Poeltl just seem very off their game, a ton of unforced turnovers, a lot of fumbling the ball from easy quick passes from Barnes and Schroeder

Hopefully it’s just the system they are getting used to, Siakam is a lot more used to the heavy iso play which thankfully we are getting away from

Honestly for all the talk of Barnes not being “ready” last season, Siakam and Poeltl seem completely in a funk and inattentive, and for veterans to be starting off this slowly is really odd

Seems just like an off period / slump period for them, they really need to pick it up

This inconsistency from Siakam is career defining though and it shows why he just does not deserve a max contract

For all the Embiid vitriol for his flopping and annoying behaviours, he shows regularly why he is a max player, he is regularly dominant on the floor with few underperforming games, especially in regular season
