Can’t cap I was in it to see the new courts and shit cause in my personal opinion they look dope. But because the winner gets money, everybody putting a little pep in the step to getting to Vegas. With that I’m hoping that same energy could translate moving forward.

And plus it makes the NBA a little more interesting instead of constantly seeing regular games everyday.

Thoughts?

I like it. Makes this part of the season more enjoyable and these matchups take on greater meaning. More room for rivalries to develop. The league needed to do something to keep interest.

Personally I don’t care for the courts but then I realize it’s not for me and I’m fine with that. I agree there were only a few ‘templates’ for teams to choose from and they could have done better but it’s the first year. It’s going to be interesting how it plays out and it’s exciting to see teams with no chance of winning the Finals have a chance with the in season tournament.

Overall I think it’s good for the league, the fans, and especially smaller market teams.

I hated it when I first heard about it but I gotta say I’m really enjoying it a lot. Kinda Reminds me of my old AAU tourney days. Sometimes playing multiple tournaments simultaneously.

I think most of us Americans are still very hardwired to only care about the regular season, but fuck it, it’s still fun and creates excitement early in the year.

Obviously it’s not going to have the same prestige as a title, but it was never intended to.

I also love that the point differential tiebreaker is making teams keep the pedal to the metal all game. Teams are playing really hard which is awesome and will end up creating drama which will create some new mini-rivalries around the league.

This thing is going to be determined by how it goes once it gets to Las Vegas but for now I’m honestly enjoying it more than I thought I would

Still not big on all the different courts though

    I don’t really care

just keep winning for the real playoff seeding, and if we somehow find our way in Vegas, win that game too

I thought it was stupid and just a big hype fest to get early season viewership up, which is what I still basically think. Except I think a big motivation is to increase the gambling which is where the league is really going as far as revenue is concerned.

Still I gotta admit it’s starting to intrigue me.

I think the courts are mostly hideous and distracting. gif
