Do we officially know why Chuks got benched? All we know is he said something bad about the Offense. Well, Pickens, Johnson and Najee have done the same to varying degrees. Not for nothing but seems like a double standard (at least what was presented to us by the media in Chuks case). Dan Moore Jr has been arguably one of the worst linemen in the NFL. Now that Canada is gone, why not reinsert Chuks back at Rt and replace DM Jr with Jones at his natural LT side? If Johnson can fight with a coach on the sideline and then fight with Minka in the locker room when Minka told Johnson to “cool it” what did Chuks do that was so bad that he doesn’t step on the field ever again?

I think everyone is thinking too hard on this. He sucked, gave up, and will be cut. Next year, 2024, we will cut Chuks to save 8M in cap space. We will have Dan Moore Jr playing LT because they pay him 1M to do so and he doesnt play RT. BJones will be playing, more than likely, RT. They needed to see how the line was/wanted the line to mesh well with this formation.

If we go T early in The Draft and get a LT/RT then we can move Dan Moore to the bench and roll with Bjones/New T as our tackles. Nowhere in that plan involves Chuks. He’s not worth the 2024 cap hit and we save money by cutting him. Hopefully we can trade him for anything in the offseason. It makes more sense to pay Dan Moore 1M to be our backup than pay Chuks the 13M.

Dan Moore’s contract also ends in 2024 so he is primed to get a contract in FA as well. A “starting” LT will make more than what we should pay him to be our backup.
