How many INTs do they have in their last 9 games?
How many INTs do they have in their last 9 games?
He has to pay more than what his game check is on a play that wasn’t flagged. His fine was $48,556 and his game check was $48,333. Game check number could be wrong but I just did quick maths.
All this says to me is that our defense was good enough to also hold them under 400 yards which gave us a chance to win. Add in the fact that over the last 3 years we’ve been pretty solid at getting turnovers (+28 differential) and in those years we’ve also allowed the 2nd lowest PPG at 20.7. Granted we scored 20.5 PPG in the same span.
It’s because he calls himself a leader to the fans, media and I’d assume his teammates but then does things like not put in effort, pout, or throw his hands up when he doesn’t get a target.
Him not moving for the loose ball on the fumble just brings all that front and center because it was a huge play. Tbh I lost a lot of respect for that play whether people think the play should’ve happened or not. Doesn’t mean we need to get rid of him but if i was HC (im not) he would’ve been sat. Someone who calls themselves a leader or anyone who is on a team doesn’t give up like that because they don’t get their TD. It’s a selfish thing to do and puts you before the team. For all we know if he was engaged in the play he could’ve fallen on the ball but he wasn’t. He let his team down big time in that moment.
I like DJ as a player and I believe the offense is better with him in it but he has his flaws. Being a selfish player doesn’t go far with the Steelers fans. Nobody is bigger than the franchise and the way he acts sometimes makes people think he thinks he is.
First time I’ve heard of Matt Tomsho being Canada’s right hand man tbh.
Because he costs 1M to play LT
I think everyone is thinking too hard on this. He sucked, gave up, and will be cut. Next year, 2024, we will cut Chuks to save 8M in cap space. We will have Dan Moore Jr playing LT because they pay him 1M to do so and he doesnt play RT. BJones will be playing, more than likely, RT. They needed to see how the line was/wanted the line to mesh well with this formation.
If we go T early in The Draft and get a LT/RT then we can move Dan Moore to the bench and roll with Bjones/New T as our tackles. Nowhere in that plan involves Chuks. He’s not worth the 2024 cap hit and we save money by cutting him. Hopefully we can trade him for anything in the offseason. It makes more sense to pay Dan Moore 1M to be our backup than pay Chuks the 13M.
Dan Moore’s contract also ends in 2024 so he is primed to get a contract in FA as well. A “starting” LT will make more than what we should pay him to be our backup.
For tomorrow? I want to see the details be fixed. We, more than likely, won’t be able to add/adjust much to our playbook but we sure as hell can fine tune what we already have and are good at.
On a Macro scale I’d like to see more PA incorporated and motion/free releases to help our guys win early. Have the scheme give KP answers before the ball is snapped. It’s something that we do not have or decide not to do. Have KP be coached to recognize those answers and make quick correct reads in rhythm. That’s where coaching/scheme has failed KP.
KP has got to be accurate with those throws but, imo, that starts with the OL. They need to get better at blocking consistently up the middle. It needs to be emphasized early in the game because KP needs to settle in before he gets rattled by pressure. When he is rattled early his clock starts ticking too fast and he rushes his throws, leaves the pocket, and rushes his reads.
I fully support this. Post a week later update too so we can keep you accountable and follow along.
And may God have mercy on your soul when we have a 50 point lead and 500 yards at halftime.
In the last 7 years our draft has consisted of 53 picks. 6 of those have been OL and 3 have been in the top 3 rounds (2 3rds + 1 1st).
The OL Picked:
Why is Bienemy a “perfect fit for OC”?
“Oh yeah I love it here. The thing I love most is the hard working the blue collar environment. I’m glad I’m here.”
Video Notes
1st play (Negative):
- Myles Garrett destroys the opening drive with OL’s poor execution. TE chips (positive) LT oversets allowing MG to go inside on him.
2nd Play (Negative):
- Sprint left option to throw a flat on 3rd & 18. Poor concept for the play call. It was called to give more room to punt. Throw could be better but it’s not the leading problem with this play. No answers in the scheme.
3rd Play (Negative):
- Not great bob. Poor schematic answer. Usually you throw into the hot (free rusher) toward Pickens who is in 1on1. Better throw is to make the post throw by drifting to the left in the pocket or to throw the hitch since KP is hot on that side. They throw the swing into 3 CBs rushing the RB. QB looking confused and the HOT answer cannot be the swing on this play.
4th Play (Positive):
- Lazy stop route to GP. KP did well here throwing in rhythm, nice base, quickly throws to GP, smooth and throws a good pass. Detail on the route running can be better. Specifically the top of the route. This seems to be consistent in the route running department for this offense and hopes to see that improve by the new OC.
5th Play (Negative):
- Short in/fin route to the #1. KP makes the right read and throw. WR (DJ) looks to be in the wrong because WR is suppose to not run into the defense for zone and run away for man. HATES the WR reaction here and used a lot of ink to show that.
6th Play (Neutral Leaning Negative):
- KP gets the 1st with his leg but there is a much better play. KP should’ve thrown the over on this play rather than run. KP has a tendency where if he moves he starts to run rather than look down to throw or adjust in the pocket. Offense’s issues is not one guy (pointing to the OC being fired)
7th Play (Negative):
- Static Hank on 3rd & 5. Not good enough in a modern offense for this to be a play call. Browns play this call really well covering it as well as the answer the scheme provides. KP plays it different than tradition but that still doesn’t fix the problem with this play call.
8th Play (Neutral Leaning Negative):
- 2nd and long. Mirrored speed outs. Throw is better than seems since he’s trying to protect his WR from getting obliterated. Very basic scheme here. WR (Allen Robinson) might be short of his depth. KP chooses or is taught to throw MOF rather than the speed outs which are open. Speed outs can’t be the number 2 read and it looks like the MOF read is the 1st read.
9th Play (Negative):
- Read the 2nd play summary.
10th Play (Negative):
- WR (DJ)/QB are not being on the same page. KP looks good mechanically on this throw. 14 is open and needs to see the ball there.
11th Play (Positive Leaning Neutral):
- Choice route for the 1st down. Schematically could be better in details. TE needs to chip, WTF is a 6 yard corner route? KP does a good job here.
12th Play (Negative):
- Double post over. KP cannot or refuses to see it or he’s being coached not to. This is the play that’s been posted here a ton. Scheme is good here. If you want to read my breakdown of it check this LINK out
13th Play (Negative):
- Mirrored Speed Outs. Throws the speed out and sails the ball over the head. Mirrored concepts are beginning level stuff. The throw needs to be better both with accuracy and anticipation.
Overall Summary:
This scheme is deficient. Still needs more modern concepts that are not mirror static routes. We shall see if there is any change with a new OC. KP isn’t playing well enough and there is a lack of detail on all levels on play. Things to do quick. Lose hank, sprint option, mirrored concepts. Add PA and pure progressions. KP needs to be to see the MOF or they need to teach him to read the MOF. There will be lack of clarity on that for a long time. They have the pieces but needs to be better everywhere.
I think a lot of people don’t realize that Canada has plays inside his playbook that are similar to all the good offenses in the NFL. In fact a lot of the NFL have similar playbooks. There isn’t some magical play book that has all the answers.
Timing of the play calls, how we get into the formations, how we disguise them, and terminology are what separates the offenses. The terminology will stay the same. Formations and how we disguise them will more than likely stay the same. Timing of play calls will/should change.
There will/should be changes to the rules to some plays though. A pass concept will have a different primary read. A TE block with a route leaking out might turn into a quick chip block. Pass pro will have different rules.
It’ll all be small adjustments within the current playbook and concepts that will hopefully build up over the course of the season leading to a, hopefully, better offense.
I do not think we will be going QB in the 1st round. I think we will be grabbing a vet (Tannehill? based on price range) and having them compete with KP. We will draft another QB late in the draft and then ride out the year with KP/Vet while drafting a starting T or CB with our 1st round pick. Then the following year is when we’d move on from KP or he’d become our backup.
There is something to be said that KP can become our backup, we cut Mitch, grab a cheaper vet and then draft a 1st rd QB but we’d have to find a way to get CB and T answered in FA or later in the draft. It’s not out of the question IMO but not where I see them going or where they should go.
I think he’s been a monster all year tbh. Hopefully that continues into next year.
I’m just trying to understand your post but you’re saying none of the QB prospects for 2024 are worth a 1st? As in Caleb Williams and Drake Maye aren’t worth a 1st?
How is nobody posting about the fact that both the Bengals and Ravens took each other out tonight?!?
Take a look at all the comments
Where are you getting that we will have cap space next year? We will be -4M to start the year. We keep around 3-5M for in season signings, and we need 5-10M for rookie signings/UDFAs. That means we have about 20M to makeup before we can sign people.

Everyone should care. Mitch has 7 INT (3.3%) vs KP’s 1 INT (0.4%).
He can absolutely make this offense worse by turning the ball over.
