It doesn’t matter who is QB until we get a dominant o line. Put Howell behind Eagles line- he would look so much better. It’s a miracle he has done what he has with this pathetic line that Team Ron created.

Completely asinine take. I’m a Howell fan and like what he’s shown, but if a new GM and HC want to draft a QB high instead then that’s their right to.

Are you allowed to still be on the fence with Howell in this sub? I’m still recovering from him being outplayed by Tommy Devito.

People want to keep trying a new QB every year until we win the Super Bowl.

It (usually) doesn’t work like that.

Honestly the inconsistent popular opinions on here annoys me. I hope nobody with decision making power listens to the sub for it.

Addicted to the QB carousal. Trade up for Williams or Maye, watch them get crushed behind the line and lose games because of the defense, and then start a new QB until we win

I really like Sam… but at the same time if the GM comes in and decides with someone else what can we do? The gm and coach should be on the same page and if they aren’t and the qb is forced on the coach it will lead to a dysfunctional situation

We can’t do anything other than bitch about it, but one would hope a general manager would be able to see qb is one of the few spots we need to worry about. If they go in a draft a qb and then a punter, can we do anything? No. But we’d lose any faith in him and Harris.

Is Howell a top 5 qb? No. Do we have other, more important needs? Yes. And the gm better draft accordingly.

I see nothing wrong with drafting a qb, but not with our top picks, maybe a 7th round on down pick if he’s the best available player

The new GM and HC deserve to have the QB they want. That’s my opinion. EB had gotten a lot from Howell but even he has shown frustration with Howell’s mistakes. I honestly think the only way Howell remains is if EB is HC or stays OC somehow.

It’s Sam’s job to lose. Teams will have a full year of tape on him next season, that’s usually what causes the “softmore slump”.

It’s still his job to lose, he’s proven to be a good QB1 this year.

Everyone said this after after the cowboys game last, “now they have tape on him” well it looks like he’s doing alright all things considered

Sam’s ceiling is top 15. If there’s a potential top 5 franchise changer… you take him. Have we learned nothing from the Chase Young pick? We could’ve had Tua or Herbert but squandered it on Chase and subsequently spent the next 4 years trying to plug and play the qb position

Herbert would have failed spectacularly in Washington but… I agree with your point. Upgrading from Howell may make sense, hell drafting a potential Mahomes then having a QB battle makes sense too. QB is the game’s most important position, having setbacks in other spots makes sense if you can upgrade THE spot.

What I hope they never do is pursue vet QBs in free agency other than to get a competent backup. Brissett made sense. Wentz, McNabb, Fitzpatrick, and (even though I like what he did) Alex Smith were not the right way to go. Howell was a fantastic move, but if we gamble and win on a better QB then we’ll move on from Sam. He’s the best we’ve had since Kirk Cousins, but better options exist out there.

Precisely, I want this team to strive to be great, not good. Let’s aim for the fences with the new regime. All options should be on the table
