This year

Kyrie and Luka on - +2.95 Net rtg (286min)

Luka on Kyrie off - -3.5 Net rtg (274min)

Kyrie on Luka off - +5.6 (142min)

Last season in the small sample size, +7.64 with Kyrie on and Luka off (319min) +1.94 with just Luka (1800min)

I think its clear this team plays better with pace but it doesn’t seem Luka can do that (yet), just wondering why the team struggles more with the slow heliocentric iso ball vs more fast paced offense?

edit:

Also or the Lively fans

We are +5.67 Net rtg (337min) with him on the floor and -2.11 Net rtg (431min) with him off

I think the reason the team performs worse with slower pace and heliocentric offense is because then almost every player outside of Kyrie is individually worse than the opposing defender. A faster pace creates more chaos and it’s easier to score because you make the defense react more quickly and make fast decisions. That doesn’t happen in half court offense with Luka asking for screens and running pick n rolls. That’s why Luka’s off numbers are better than on. The team simply isn’t talented enough to make the most out of slow pace.

What about if you remove, say, the first 5 games? I think Kyrie on and Luka off would be higher from what I’ve seen as of late
