Year 1: Mac Jones beats out Cam Newton, almost breaks the Rookie Record for Completion %, makes the Pro Bow as a reserve. Isn’t flashy but does what is needed to win.

Year 2: Belichick hires a former DC/controversial failed HC in Patricia to be Macs new OC, hires another Failed HC to be Macs QB coach in Judge. Creates QB controversy when Mac plays at a lesser level while recovering from his high ankle sprain.

Year 3: Drafts nothing but Defense and IOL, makes lateral moves in FA with JuJu and Gesicki (we see Jonnu and Jakobi doing great elsewhere)

TLDR: The whole Mac Jones tenure seems very Jets-esque, draft a high-pick QB and make shitty organizational decisions to put them in the worst position possible.

I think Mac needs to go and he is no longer the answer, but man was he given a shit shot during his time here. Kind of embarrassed the way we handled his growth.

I agree that Mac doesn’t have the tools to hit the hard deep throws, and make the defense scared.

But do you think from what we saw Year 1 that Mac couldn’t do what Purdy is doing in SF with that same level of offensive talent and coaching level/stability?
