Mark Schlereth as he was calling the game said " How can you evaluate a QB, when you can’t protect him, can’t stop the rush, and can’t get open deep"

Same sentiments that Greg Olsen shared calling the Cowboys game and Kirk Herbstreit calling the Bears game.

Bryce Young has made his share of mistakes this season. However, this game against the Titans continues to highlight the problem with the offense - QB pressured on half of his dropbacks and outside of Thielen nowhere to consistently go with the ball.

Regardless of whether you think Young is the long-term answer at QB or not - this roster isn’t built to give a QB a chance to be successful.

Fitterer should be fired tomorrow.

I agree with the announcers. Hopefully by next year we see some significant changes in GM and HC. And maybe next year we can better evaluate Bryce Young at QB.

    Edit: this year is done

I think I can say some things with pretty clear certainty at this point, 10 weeks into BY’s career.

    1. Stroud is the better QB and should have been the #1 pick. He would not be doing as well here, but there is literally no case ever of two rookie QBs where one balls out in year 1 and the other sucks and the careers end up reversed.

    2. This does not mean BY is a bust. I agree that its impossible to truly evaluate him behind the can of beans we have blocking for him and the potatoes catching the balls and running routes. Its not his fault, but when you trade the farm for a QB you need to get someone like Stroud to have a team that is any good in the first couple of years. But I can still see watching him and watching CJ that he’s clearly not as good.

    3. Reich needs to go. Now. Not at the end of the season. He is potentially permanently harming BY’s future progression with the schemes he has. I dont care who takes over for interim, but Frank should be gone on Cyber Monday.

    4. Fitterer needs to go, now is fine as well. He’s had some god awful draft picks over the years. Horn over Surtain is an egregious miss especially because unlike the BY/Stroud debate, Surtain was absolutely the #1 consensus CB.

    5. This isnt getting much better for at least another full year. Without the first round pick, you’re gonna need to hit on some later ones in order to get any better, and that’s always tough. Might be time to do something else on Sundays for a bit and just see.
