The Saints needed to show us they could score touchdowns. It’s the Falcons after the bye week. The energy is palpable. There were player only meetings, and media conferences where coaches and players stressed the importance of this game.
They score no touchdowns. They looked off-balance from the first quarter. They looked apathetic. They were careless. They were out coached.
List goes on and on. I’m usually an optimist even after losses. This flat-out feels like the biggest failure of a 2023 season that’s full of failures. Really disheartening stuff.

The Bucs game was “worse”. This one is more painful though.
Yes. Bucs was more embarrassing in some ways, but this loss marks the end of the season and any chance it will end on a positive.
