Like everyone else, I’ve been running into articles and videos about Pop’s anti-booing crusade. While a lot of people think that taking the mike was ridiculous, it’s maddening how many are leaping to Kawhi’s defense…and how clear it is that he still controls the narrative outside San Antonio:

“Pop feels guilty because he knows they misdiagnosed Kawhi.”

“The Spurs did him dirty because they tried to force him to play injured.”

“Pop put Tony and Manu on Kawhi to smear him, and accused him of faking an injury.”

“Why can’t Spurs fans just get over the fact that he wanted to leave?”

Even after what he’s done in the years since, people are still buying into the overall smear campaign against the Spurs’ doctors!

I can understand the idea that we should “get over it” for our own sake/ peace of mind, or even that the booing is excessive (though I disagree)… but how is anyone still ignorant enough to think Kawhi was perfectly innocent in all of this? The damage he did still haunts the team’s reputation!

Lol. Honestly, if it weren’t for this post, I would’ve kinda forgotten it happened. No need to worry about all that other non-basketball BS
