I know the hot topic here every Saturday is what QB we’re going to draft etc. I’m sure we probably will draft a guy and I’m pumped to root for him, but even more than that I’m ready to see Flores have something more to work with than spare parts.

We had a bottom 3 defense by most metrics last year and we’re flirting with top 10 this year and we didn’t really add any significant talent. Our biggest new contributors are what, a decent rookie linebacker, and a middling CB? Our pass rush is pretty much just Hunter. Our DL in general is really just Hunter and Phillips.

Re-sign Hunter, go get like Chris Jones or Wilkins. Draft a DT and a DE (ideally in like R2), and let’s see what kind of defense we can put on the field. We haven’t had a truly good defense in like 5 ish years.

    It isn’t so much about drafting the position it’s about developing it. I see someone like Roy and how they’re being patient with him. I’m enjoying the approach of them getting guys who fit what we do. I would love to have Wilkins and retain Hunter.

    This post assumes Flores isn’t a head coach next year which feels unfortunately bold
