I don’t want to get too excited here but I think it’s safe to say he’s a future Hall of Famer, or at the very least a multi-time DPOY.
He also had a +/- of +54 ^((per36))
Jokes aside, garbage time is not the best indicator of the future success, but sometimes you just see something in a player. I remember Wolves getting blown by 30 in the beginning of 20-21 season, and Ryan Saunders playing McDaniels and Vando in garbage time. You saw these dudes look like NBA players - Jaden was hitting 3s and Vando was hustling on boards. After watching Miller in Summer League, a little bit in G-League, and in garbage time now, I can’t imagine him not becoming a serviceable NBA player in 1-2 years. He is already an average rim protector, above average help defender and rebounder, and has a lot of raw offensive skills. If he can be serviceable guarding on perimeter, he can probably play alongside 2 bigs, and this team can be mismatch for anyone.
They need to get a chance to shine and not only in garbage time.
I’m not saying they start or anything of course. It defeats the purpose of trying to develop them if all they do is sit and hope for garbage time minutes.
