Oris or Tudor?

Hey all! I’ve been a lurker, now turning to the community for some input. I have two pieces in my collection that I enjoy (Hamilton jazzmaster + Tag Aqua). They are both on stainless.

I’m looking to add another as a birthday present for myself in a month or two. My budget will be right around the $2500 mark. Willing to hear some options if there are recommendations outside of the two brands mentioned.

However, the next addition will either be an Oris (like that their vertically integrated) or a Tudor (makes me feel like there is value behind the craft under the Rolex brand).

I wouldn’t mind something on rubber/silicone but also love stainless all the same.

Typically only go for 41mm +, can be persuaded into 39mm.

Any options, feedback, suggestions is very much welcome!

Thanks to all you merchants of time in advance.

I have an Oris Aquis (cal 400) and am very happy with it. I generally find oris a very likeable brand. The atmosphere in their boutique is very different from omega or the kind of ADs that sell tudors. At oris they wear T-shirt and jeans and have a sort of surfer dude vibe going on. Which suits their brand identity quite well. As opposed to the suits with ironed shirts and geled hair at the tudor ADs.

The Oris is very well finished and made. Totally holding up to my omega aquaterra (which is my only higher end comparison). Obviously much nicer than my hamilton or orient.

I have a 42mm hamilton khaki field, which i now consider a bit too big and wish i got the 38mm instead. Whereas the 41.5mm aquis fits perfectly.

Aside from the aquis i also quite like the big crown pointer date collection (especially the bronze one) in that price range. Or the propilot X a bit above. In case you wanna go for a used one.
