I grew up in the 80s and 90s, and obviously capitalism existed, but corporations didn’t have the strangleholds that they do now. Every fromsoft game, to me, feels like an independent move that you love. So much care put into it. It feels like a labour of love. Movies used to be like that too.
Anyway, this isn’t a super hot take, but after wanting to get into call of duty again recently and seeing the disgusting money grabbing 1 year turnover bullshit, I just wanted to say how much I love the souls borne games

I disagree. They lack creativity. All they’ve been doing is iterating on gameplay loops they came up with 12+ years ago. Very little innovation.
I have more respect for Obsidian who’s able to create GOTY level games in multiple genres and truly innovate on gameplay. Fallout New Vegas. South Park Stick of Truth. Grounded.
