Hey guys! As a long time mavs fan (im german and Dirk hooked me to NBA basketball) and Magic supporter since you drafted Franz i came up with a trade idea that could possibly make both teams serious threats for the second round and even more. Orlando lacks spacing from the point guard position while Dallas desperately needs to improve defensively. So what about a trade centered around Irving and Kleber in exchange for WCJ, Fultz and Isaac? The magic offense would move up at least one tier while they have the personell to hide irving on defense. The mavs have enough shooting power to make a second unit offense run by Fultz work and would dramatically improve their defense. Looking forward to the discussion
I’ll give you this
Skill set wise I love it, but being realistic it is impossible to only look at the skill set when it comes to Kyrie
There is a lot of baggage that comes with Kyrie
I can see the potential quotes now
He would probably talk down to our star players and not understand how to get the most of them so if that’s your vet then you matter as well just not have em
Kyrie is like a 14 year old at heart and while I love watching him play I would hate for him to be on my favorite team
Lol that seems so mean to say but it’s the truth
Damn you are delusional af man
Irving is 31, turning 32 in March. We would have to be the absolute dumbest team to switch to win now mode for an oft injured Irving who is past his prime. Hard pass
The time of lottery picks seems to be over anyway, so yes, the magic should switch to win now mode. Im not suggesting a crazy all-in trade with five firsts involved…
The Magic have spent years building a culture of high class, high character players and staff. Kyrie is a cancer who would disrupt all of it. Great player but no thanks.
Pretty good sign, that we made 13 Days without a “Trade Idea Thread” !
Glad that our FO builts on develoment and dont rush things (and mess it up).
Maybe we come to a point, where we have to make a move, but i dont think its yet. Despite the streak, we are still finding out.
Kyrie is cancer. We wouldn’t take him for free.
