I was listening to the DNVR podcast this morning and their special guest was CHJ. At first, I was like F that dude because he signed with the Chargers, but remembered how much he contributed to that SB50 win and other successful seasons.

Where does Strap Harris stand with Broncos Country nowadays?

He should be in the ring of fame. Period. Was an integral part of the NFZ.

One of the most successful undrafted stories for the Broncos and in NFL history in general.

12 years in the league - was named to four pro bowls, an All pro, two SB appearances and one ring.

He’s a broncos great. That said, he’s also similar to another broncos great (Bailey) who was super salty after our split. All love though.

Champ didn’t sign with a division rival out of spite, thought. Not sure about that comparison.

I’m glad that people are finally coming back around on that guy. He gave the Broncos his best years at a bargain rate, and he was a huge part of winning that super bowl. He wanted to get paid after all that he contributed and Ellis / Elway didn’t want to pay him, of course he was upset. I don’t blame him one bit.

Now that he’s removed from the game and from that situation, it seems he genuinely loved the Broncos and their fans and wants to be a part of it. I, for one, welcome it with open arms.

This Thanksgiving I’m grateful the period of pretending that CHJ isn’t one of the most legendary Broncos of this century (and really, all time) is over
