The Saints as an organization have become complacent. Which can happen when a franchise has unconditional support from its fanbase.

Idk about you guys…but I’m done with this team until changes are made. And by changes…I mean Dennis Allen and this coaching staff need to be fired. I would include Derek Carr in this…but we’re stuck with him.

Unfortunately…I think we’re stuck with Dennis Allen too. The reality is…the Saints aren’t an attractive job right now. Loomis has destroyed the salary cap with untradeable contracts. We have so many old veteran players…who have so much dead money on their deals if they’re released or traded…that you can’t do anything with them but play them.

No veteran coach wants this job…and no young aspiring coach wants it…because you’re starting your coaching career in a massive hole with a small shovel.

I hate to say it…but what you’ve seen from the Saints the last two years is what you’re going to continue to see. We have at least one more season of this…which is why I believe Dennis Allen will be back next season. After that…we can rebuild.

I wouldn’t be this mad if we weren’t also stuck with Pete fucking Carmichael

Honestly, we need to clean house. Fire DA, PC, trade players for draft capital, tank, and rebuild. Bring Ronald Curry up to OC and hire Drew Brees as our QB Coach at the VERY LEAST if you wanna win games and not have an insufferable offense

I don’t think the Saints are stuck with Dennis Allen: the question is how willing is Mickey Loomis and Mrs Benson willing to fire him now or at the end of the season.

There were several OC firings, likely from front office pressure. Frank Reich was fired and if it was deserved or will help the Panthers, it was always the owner’s prerogative.

Obviously Allen has given cause to be fired, and it is a question of owner fickleness and GM style if and when he is let go. One consideration is if the team can still make it to the playoffs, a possibility given the weak division. If so, firing the HC now will likely prevent going to the postseason.

In some ways, winning in the postseason will be a bad thing since it will likely protect Allen’s job. However, if the Saints lose in the 1st round, I think he definitely fired.

Don’t know about unconditional. The boo birds will be in full effect next week and I expect the dome to be emptier later in the season.

What do you think their record would be with Belichick or Payton (or McDaniel, Reid, Carroll, whatever) as head coach? You think Derek Carr, protected by Penning and Ruiz, is going to win nine games? No way.
