Some cultures are very gregarious and lively. They like loud music, speak to each other loudly, etc.
Which cultures have you found to be more reserved? Not necessarily cold or rude, just not as loud in public?

I’d say the Swiss, but the ‘catch’ is that you have a lot of surface level friends, and it takes a long time to kind of get invited into their circle. I think a lot of people yearn for the friendship of locals, but in Swiss society this takes a long time, if ever that it truly happens.
Japanese in my opinion. Koreans as well. Thai/ Filipinos for being polite. Estonia in Europe.
