My wife played stardew Valley before dota, she loved the farming. She hadn’t played moba or fps / combat games before so took a while to get confident pressing so many buttons quickly.

And I don’t know if you’ve seen any super low mmr games, but they reminded me of 6 year old kids playing football/soccer. A bunch of people following the ball and a few others randomly walking in circles on the other side of the field.

You underestimate the attraction of blink. When my wife started playing dota, for the first few weeks she would let out a little scream whenever an enemy found her and her flight response would kick in. Something like AM or windranger was her go-to. Until she later became absolutely toxic with dazzle.

Absolute trash tier sub 1k mmr dota, pos 3 or 4 AM and just afk farm.

New players often like ranged heroes or heroes that can blink away. For those not used to fighting games it can feel less intense.

Sniper, qop, AM,

CK because it sucks when it’s on my team and gets rampages when it’s on the enemy team.

Oracle, LC, Abba because I love to play venomancer.

AM because I play shit tier dota and we can’t finish a game early.
