When we think of Isaiah Thomas, we think of big contracts to role players.

Jared Jefferies, Michael Sweetney, Shannon Anderson, the list goes on.

Josh Hart reminds me of one of those signings, the guy is a walking brick. He’s so bad at shooting he’s afraid to shoot.

We play 4 on 5 with him on the floor the same way we did when we had Jared Jefferies.

Leon Rose needs to have his feet held to the fire for this signing man. We have no shooting.

He’s our 7th-8th man. He does what a 7th-8th man should do.

    I don’t see the problem.

That’s like complaining about Mitch being an offensive threat. Yes he can do better at the line but he’s good at his role. Same with Josh. Slide him back to the 2/3 and he will be fine

The tv deal will make 20 mil look like the mle soon

Anyone who disregards J Hart and what he does. Needs to learn more basketball. I’m not being mean, just stating it clearly. Hart will be on this team when we make NBA Finals.

Problem with Hart is he needs more ballhandling duties to get in a rhythm. Had the same problem in Portland where they made him a spot-up shooter and he wasn’t that effective. When he came to NYC he was averaging over 30 MPG and handling the ball a lot with the second unit.

Now that RJ is playing better and he isn’t getting as much burn, he is less in rhythm shooting wise even though his intangibles is still there.

This just might be who Josh is on this team now and we probably won’t see the full Josh Hart until we make a trade to consolidate the roster and he gets more responsibility.

Hart shot over 50% from three as a Knick last year. That clearly wasn’t sustainable, as he’s a low-30s guy for his career.

This season, he’s shooting in the mid-20s, which probably also isn’t sustainable.

    It’s a slump. Relax.
