Just trying to get a pulse of Chiefs fans thoughts on this. Seems like it could be a no-lose situation:

  • For the Chiefs, you can get him basically for free and maybe Andy Reid can unlock his physical upside into a potentially useful backup QB with trade value, and if he can’t then Zach ends up as QB3 or cut before the season, no harm no foul.
  • For Zach, he gets to sit and learn from the best offensive coach and QB in the game in an offense suited to take advantage of his strengths, with the outside possibility of a spot start or two that could help revive his career.

The Chiefs have had a front row seat to see his potential when they played against him this year, and most Chiefs players had positive things to say about him after the game. There’s also the Andy Reid BYU connection as well.

I would imagine Oludokin could pretty much equal whatever Zach Wilson does and has spent time learning the Chiefs offense. And wouldn’t cost anything.
