Brad has made many big moves in his time running the team but trading Marcus Smart this offseason may be his best. Yes the season just started but we are seeing the benefits already.
Celtics added in Kristaps Porzingis who has been so good for this team so far. His scoring and offense will help this team more than Smart and KP is way more consistent of a shooter. With Smart gone it gives Tatum and Brown a chance to step in as leaders of the team. I feel like in order to succeed your leaders have to be the best players. Also the trade gave us a reason to go after Jrue Holliday which would have never happened if we kept Smart. Jrue is all around better than Smart on both sides. To me their is no down sided to trading Smart and this might be what gets us a ring.

It’s a great move value-wise, and the team needed a shake-up, but the team also has to handle its business for everything that happened this summer to be validated.
The Smart true believers are not going to take kindly to this (too-early-to-determine-this) take of yours. Prepare yourself for battle.
