This is by far more due to Brad Stevens than Joe Mazzulla. I think Joe is getting better but he was handed a Finals team and the roster has done nothing but improve since then.

Wow that inside-out to overhand cross would have put me in the hospital. That was SHARP. Unreal defense there especially in the open court and backpedaling.
We were up 20 and Atlanta called time out. It’s now a 6 point game.
We literally just fucking stopped playing. Why is no one furious right now?
Yeah I haven’t felt like Mazzulla has control of things the way Ime did once in two years. I don’t think Mazzulla knows what to do, even who to play, when the Celtics aren’t absolutely cooking on offense. The worst development lately is it doesn’t seem like he knows what to do or say to the team to get them to hold a lead.
The team is loaded and they’re going to be in the mix in the end, but regardless I still think Ime is a much better coach. Rockets fans just pray he can keep his dick where it belongs.
We are playing with absolutely no intensity on the defensive end.
I guess we just can’t beat the Magic.
How many times is Jaylen’s guy in the corner going to cut back door on him before he starts paying attention?
The Celtics are just so patient on the offensive end this year now. You can really see they have trust in each other, and that “well, fuck it. I’ll just shoot some bullshit because they’re not getting open” type of stuff they have done in the Jays era is really not there so far this year
Sam Hauser is absolute fucking weapon and I better not see him included in any of your bullshit trade ideas going forward.
There is a reason we’ve never seen it before. A shitload of NBA players could be wildly successful NFL players, but when a team invests tens or hundreds of millions of dollars into one player, there is no fucking way they’re going to allow them to put themselves at that kind of risk.
Giving a firm upvote from a Celtics fan. The Wolves have played us tough over the past few years and you could almost feel the change coming. Always been a poverty franchise making shitty decisions, even the good players that have come through there never seemed to like it. Hoping to see them hang around and make some noise!
Oh, here come the crooked ass refs to now allow Giannis to become a runningback
These refs are being compensated by Tim Donaghy.
This Jack Sparrow looking mf can really play. Feels like he’s in 3 places at once sometimes
Wow I didn’t realize he was -25. We really did a great job on him defensively tonight, but also Embiid has a tendency to coast/give up/get gassed when he’s really pushed. It’s arguably his worst flaw as a player, because he has almost everything else.
When we played them towards the end of the season last year, when they REALLY needed to win against us, he fucking murdered us and played at full effort. Last night, I think he was gassed from playing the night before and couldn’t deal with Horford’s energy level in trying to disrupt him. Basically, that’s not MVP type shit.
If you look at his season and Jokic’s season side by side from last year, there is no justification at all that Embiid should have won over Jokic. I think the voters were afraid to give Jokic 3 in a row even though it was 100% valid. Embiid is a great player, but he might go down as one of the least deserving MVP’s of all time, and I don’t see him winning one ever again.
Maxey might be the fastest dude I’ve ever seen off the dribble. It’s fucking crazy how quickly he can get to the rim, he doesn’t even do any moves, he just runs
God damn it I really like Maxey. Fuck Philly forever but the kid can really play
I don’t know which home team PA is more fucking annoying:
This dingus in Philly who just says every name twice when they score, or Atlanta with the goddamn screeching hawk
I’m just glad Tatum got going finally so we could rest Hauser in the 4th.
I don’t know why we even bother going to drop coverage against guys who can dribble off a screen and pull up. I honestly think we know going into the game that it’s not going to work but we save the switching for a critical point in the game because we know it will work, at least long enough to hold them off.
I say this because there is no way professional players and a coach DON’T know that guys like Trae, Bogey, Steph, Klay, etc. will murder drop coverage, but we see it time and time again when we have to defend these guys. It has to be a game flow decision and they know they can’t switch everything all game or the other team will adjust by the end, so we do the opposite.
