I’m not opposed, but he hasn’t played all season and at 34, I could see him falling off a cliff immediately after getting here.

Also who would he replace in the rotation? IQ and RJ are barely over 25 MPG and Thibs isn’t going to pull back on Hart’s minutes.

As a backup 4, he is 3 inches taller than Josh Hart… everyone can agree they wish they had another 3 inches lol

So next issue is health. Given that Randle gets a ton of minutes, you would have to hope that giving this guy 12-15 backup 4 minutes would reduce the risk of injury.

I’d like Bojan maybe when he was a Net. There’s never any question if the guy can shoot but the same goes for his lack of defense. If Deuce comes off the bench ahead of Fournier, I don’t think having Bojan is going to lighten up Randle’s minutes.

Our defense is anchored by Robinson. Bojan started on the Jazz when their defense was anchored by Gobert

If we have Bojan on the roster he’d be coming off the bench. Right now our bench unit is more or less Hartenstein-Hart-RJ-Donte-IQ. Personally I think the bench unit is pretty good and they play fast and is generally good on defense; I don’t see where Bojan can help us when we don’t really need Josh Hart to be a sniper. We need his defense and he’s fine enough from 3 to keep the defense honest.

What’s harming us is inconsistent performance by key guys like Randle and Grimes so far this season. If I’m honest Mitch is kind of iffy the last 2 games at well. IIRC he had 3 boards in the first half yesterday so that’s no bueno.

You don’t have to play all 5 bench guys together. If Randle is inconsistent like you say why not bring in a guy at his position that could bring consistency when Randle is having an off night. We don’t have to live and die with the 9 guys we got

We don’t, but I’d reason that introducing a new guy into the rotation does more harm than good at this point. I think Donte has looked more comfortable and that took a while. If we’re talking about Embiid or hell even someone like Bradley Beal then it’d be worth it. I say not for Bojan on an expiring contract who’s never been an average defender, and double no for giving up picks for him.

And then consistency aside, I think this team has enough talent for 1-2 guys to play better to cover up some slaggers. I know we lost yesterday but it was close with Brunson in the driver’s seat with IQ dropping buckets for the first half, and then the second half Randle took over and our big men Mitch and Hartenstein woke up and started grabbing boards.

I’ve thought about it in the past. It would be a solid fit in terms of position and need…

… But at 34 years old the guy might simply say no -thanks and retire. What athlete wants to pick up their entire life and family and move to a new city at that age?
