While discussing the possibility of 7-10 head coaching jobs to open up this offseason Lions coordinators seemed to be popular names…

“Ben Johnson and Brian Johnson are at the top of the list for head coaching jobs…I expect Aaron Glenn and Dan Quinn will get lots of interviews as well” ~Adam Schefter

The best reporter in Carolina mentioned fans are ALL IN to get Ben Johnson and that the “Panthers wanted him last year but he didn’t want them”

Ben ain’t going to Carolina. Absolutely dumpster fire with a dog shit owner and no draft capital for another year.

Can we entice some team by offering AG and a first round draft pick to take him off our hands?

The Carolina job is poison. 3 HCs fired mid year the past 5 years. Traded a metric ton of draft capital to draft Young. Horrible at every position on offense, their best player on defense will most likely leave in FA unless they throw a blank check at him, and they are woefully talentless in a division that is woefully bad.

You’d be stupid to go there UNLESS you make them give you a guaranteed contract a la Jimbo and Texas A&M

Plantar owner screwed himself because made it so the top coaches won’t want to deal with his riskiness. Doubtful Ben Johnson wants any bit of that nonsense

AG is hired away and then Belichick leaves NE and comes here as DC to finish what he started in 1976-1977.

If he wanted to leave he could have left last year. He likes it here and his kids like it here, he has plenty of time to get a head coaching job. We’ll give him another raise this off-season
