It would be weird at first after working around the lack of them for so long but Mojang’s argument that their implementation would “limit the community’s creativity” makes no goddamn sense. If anything, arbitrarily refusing to add new things to keep the game fresh has seriously hindered Mojang’s creativity, it feels like they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel and we haven’t had a meaningful update since 1.16
Their logic for not adding vertical slabs doesn’t even make sense. How does rotating a slab 90 degrees suddenly make it hinder our creativity? If old Mojang followed that logic we never would have gotten normal slabs in the first place!

Limitations forces creativity. If i give you a pile of LEGO it’s easy to have fun because lego is limited, if i give you Blender 3D there is no limitation and you stop having fun. AND YET VERTICAL SLABS SHOULD 100% BE IN THE GAME, WE ALREADY HAVE HORIZONTAL SLABS WTF MOJANG JUST DO IT ALREADY

Well, furnitures would break the point of minecraft. If you have 1 item that is meant to be a chair then all the other creative “fake” chairs you could come up with will automatically be bad next to it. Furnitures in minecraft would make the game worse BUT having more blocks like vertical slabs and other goofy shapes will allow us to make more detailed chairs. In other words we don’t need dedicated official items, we need blocks with unique apearance so minecraft’s LEGO box gets bigger and more fun. I hope we get a small easely hideable block so we can make chairs without those big ahh boats.
I want wall mounts for weapons because putting them in a frame looks ridiculous. I don’t think they really need much furniture. I would like a working clock that you can place though.
