The first play of the game, Turner got out on Aytons jump shot so he drove in and pumped fake Turner in the air for a finish. That is the type of development I want to see from him this year. He is a great shooter but we go to get him more opportunities in transition and allow him to put the ball down and get to the rim to try to get to the line or just get layups and dunks. The man has so much talent I can’t wait to see how his role expands this season once Simons is back.
We always stop giving him the ball late in games but I think Ayton deserves his flowers for his first half performance. I don’t see why we can’t get 13-15 shots a night up every single game. I hope we continue to feed him because he is a freaking bucket.
I’m honestly surprised with how he’s been playing for us and if asking more from him is a detriment to how hes grabbing boards and playing D I say leave the man alone. Its a big ask to be locked in on D and be super aggressive on offense as a big man. I was not a fan at first but he’s growing on me
