Can’t find an answer to this, but will putting a glossy screen protector kinda negate the drawbacks of having the etched glass? Asking because I ordered the LE and plan on putting a screen protector on it. And I don’t really wanna put another anti glare on it. Wondering if the glossy protector will kinda have the same contrast as the 512 models without the etched glass.
I put my extra dbrand protector on mine, looks completely fine. Colors and blacks. Make sure you check for dead pixels first if that is something that will bother you. I put the protector on first, and after a few days did the test and found 2. I’m going to need to remove it to rma and buy more now.
There’s a small albeit concrete risk that if the adhesive layer is poor quality, it will trap air or not be optically clear and cause some color aberration.
Also it will be slightly harder to rip off if you need to remove it due to the microroughness of the etched surface.
Nothing that can’t be solved by peeling it off, just be gentle.
