Masai in the last 3-4 years has been average. He’s made some questionable trades+Transactions:

Jakob Poeltl from San Antonio for Khem Birch, 2024 1st rd, 2023 2nd rd and 2025 2nd rd pick.

Jakob Poeltl signed 4yr-$78 million contract

Thaddeus Young+Drew Eubanks from San Antonio for Goran Dragic+2022 1rd Draft Pick

Goran Dragic+Precious Achiuwa for Kyle Lowry

Otto Porter Jr signed 2 yr-$16 million contract

Not trading Fred Vanvleet in 2022-2023

Not trading Pascal Siakam

Masai seems to over-value some of his key players. Masai seems to get a reputation across the league that no other executives would like to deal with him due to the fact that they’re never serious during trade negotiations.

We’ll see how the Pascal Siakam situation plays out but if he walks out during free agency and the Raptors lose out by not trading him than maybe it’s time we fire both Masai and Bobby Webster and look to hire another exec with a new perspective.

In Tampa they lose Ibaka and Gasol and replace them with no one, they knew Lowry wanted to leave and still didn’t do a proper rebuild. That’s just insane

Its too early in the season to criticize the front office of a treadmill team that has gone 117-122 the last few seasons. We need a much larger sample size than 239 games of pure mediocrity. Im sure this season where we have no shooting or guard depth will be very different from the last three seasons where we had no shooting or guard depth.

The whole league is salvating at the mouth, thinking about signing masai and bobby. Same with Siakam and OG. I think we should be happy with what we have. Who would even come in to replace them?

Masai has done great things for this franchise and he should be forever remembered in Toronto sports history like we remember guys like Cito Gaston or Mike Pinball Clemons.

With that being said, there have been some very questionable moves by him and Webster. I’m a bit anxious about this teams future, but I do take a bit of solace in this season is all on them. The major scapegoats are gone. There’s nobody to blame if their decisions don’t end well this season.

It just a damn shame that that Rogers asshole could sabotage it, regardless of the outcome.

    Conclusion: Fuck that Rogers Asshole.

Those are market value contracts. Poeltl is just under an average starter contract, OPJ is a mini-MLE level contract.
