2/3 of the way through the 2023 season.

Who is your coach of the year? And why?.

I think there is a lot of coach of the year candidates that will come down to how the teams finish the season. Steichen and Demeco have been mentioned, but if somehow Matt LaFleur can get the Packers into the playoffs with losing like 1 more game, I could see what he has done as very impressive given the youth on offense and injuries on defense.

I’m obviously biased, but I find it crazy Mike Tomlin has never won this award.

I’m married to a Steeler fan, so I’ve been watching him closely for a while now and I absolutely agree. I don’t think he’ll win it this year, but it’s amazing he’s never won one.

Ironically I think he’s too consistent to win one. Voters love guys who dig their franchise out of the shit. Steelers are too competent to ever be in the shit. But you’re right he deserves one.

For the Vegas curious: Cambell +140 Ryans +300 McDaniel +450 Sirianni +1000 Tomlin +1200 Payton +1400

I’d bet on Ryans, personally. But if the Lions finish strong Cambell has a good case.

I know nobody wants to hear it, but if the Packers sneak into the 6th seed by going say, 5-1 the rest of the way, Lafluer needs a nod at least. Youngest team in the league at 2-5 and ends up 10-7 to go into the playoffs? Proves he didn’t need Rodgers to be a good team.
