Josh came in with minimal study and no Justin Jefferson and produced mightily. Since then it seems he’s become more stationary in the pocket and freelanced significantly less.

If we’re going to start this fucking guy at quarterback we need to cater to his strengths. I don’t want nick mullens, i want to watch dobbs cook. He’s a passtronaut with a degree in rocket science, let him do his good work.

Once he gets Jefferson back I want to see him in shotgun and rolling out consistently. He has legs, ROLL HIM OUT. He looked confident and having a blast in first 2 games. Now he looks bereaved and upset against a loose bears defense. There’s no way last night should have gone like that. He’s better than that. Give this guy a game with Jefferson and get him mobile more often. I dont know why hes not running but maybe he feels that pocket passing is the first option for the coaches. I want him at 40/60 split personally.

What do you guys think?

Teams aren’t allowing Dobbs to roll. That’s not on KOC. Teams know that if you force Dobbs to pass, he’ll struggle. Dobbs is a QB, he should be able to pass.

I definitely think he’s catering to the coaches now, and the playbook obviously—probably was told to do so.

But Dobbs did best when going off script. Clearly as we all see.

I know it sucks to admit (as a coach) that your original playbook isn’t executing perfectly — but set the ego aside, and let Dobbs do his thing.

There’s got to be a balance between playing strictly by instinct and strictly by the book.

You can fence Dobbs in a little bit — but then let him off leash inside of that boundary.

Dobbs knows his weaknesses, too — of course he does. But he also knows his strengths (solid body, slippery movement, speedy brain processing) and how to exploit them to their fullest advantage.

He’s basically a worse Josh Allen, that’s not what you want for a starter.

Removing the running game from any mobile QB is asinine. We’ve had maybe 5 designed Dobbs runs the last 2 games combined. I have no earthly idea why KOC is trying to force Dobbs to just be a pocket passer. You CAN NOT run the Kirk offense with him.

Bro can’t pass more than 20 yards good luck passing to JJ, Throw in Hall. He’s better than Mullens and his floor his higher than dobbs
