I’m surprised this is the first thread I’ve seen on the subject, thank you for bringing this fresh idea and perspective.

The thing is, we’re all so goddam fucking sick of being just above mediocrity.

We don’t want to throw in a known mediocre option, we’d rather go with Hall and lose and see what he has than win a few games and lose first round with some very average known quantity.

My guess he is just lying and going to try to do what you do, himself and make him look good.

I could be wrong but his entire job is showing that he can make the company money. What better way to do that than take your ideas that already worked and try to do them himself and take all the credit.

He’s just telling you something that makes this easy for him.

I could be wrong, but after years and years in business, this is what I expect and see.

He’s top half in the current NFL, I would say.

Our offense has played well under him and he has a very good record with the team.

Is he some legendary coach? No. I would like to see him with a really good quarterback though and see how that would develop.

Shannahan only played college ball as a WR and he’s fantastic. You don’t need to play to understand or be a top tier coach.

He’s basically a worse Josh Allen, that’s not what you want for a starter.

It’s fun to watch when we win and it isn’t fun to watch when we lose, that’s basically it.

We deserved to lose that game. Why even bother winning if we play like this? Get to the playoffs and get destroyed the first game? We deserved to lose and Dobbs can’t play like we thought he could.

4 turnovers this week, 3 last week and were right back at week 5 again. I wonder if we will have a Vikings season record for turnovers by the time we get through this.

I thought Dobbs had something but it’s clear that it was all because other teams had nothing on him yet. Now they have his tape and study and exploit his weaknesses and he crumbled.

Expect every game to go like this if he is playing, hopefully we swap out next week, I don’t care if it’s worse, I just don’t want another week of this.

Dobbs cost us hardly anything and gave us a few wins, can’t really argue with that, I guess we will see what the rookie can do and see what next year looks like.

On the positives, our defense looked pretty good, as they have most of the year. We had the offense last year and no defense, now we’re flipped around. I hope Flores sticks around for next year and we will see what we can do.

I think you’re right, Favre was the last great gunslinger and Allen is just a lesser version.

Allen reminds me a bit of Brett Favre, lots of INTs, lots of TDs, has a real talent but you just are going to have things go your way or not go your way. They could have a season where he plays lights out and another season where they win 4 games.

He’ll have an interesting career in Buffalo and some real high highs and real low lows, he could even with them a SB at some point.

I know we’re dealing with our own QB situation, but I’m not sure how I’d feel if Allen was our QB for the next 10+ years.
