As the title says. The hero went from being a beast at TI10, To mediocre at TI11, to having his remnants given 200ping (0.2s cast) & nerfed into oblivion.
There’s other hero examples, but you’ve gotta say having ember be in an unplayable state is kinda bad for the game.
I remembering during covid when ember could be played against just about anything & build just about any item

and i hope he stays there. I remember losing my mid playing against this hero in the late game with his aghs and daedalus+ bf going around killing everyone and everything
Ember has been dominating Midlane and being played/banned in almost every pro game. I am not missing him at all.
I miss SK mid.
Earth spirit also starting to feel like garbage with his roll changes.
Hero’s are also too tanky for sleight they recently just buffed omnislash for jugg

I’m sure you’d still take an ember meta over the PA meta we had recently, and the current first pick spectre + spirit breaker meta, no?
I hear you. Bear in mind when the first 2 of those builds were the meta, a “good support game” was a game where you had boots and a force staff.
When the “maelstrom bkb and see what happens” was the build supports would always have defensive items and he was far from broken, just playable
Hero was good for 9 of the last 10 years. Other heroes are good for 3 weeks every 10 years. I am not sympathetic.
What do you mean having him in an unplayable state is kinda bad for the game? Ffs there are tons of heroes who never see the light of day. Just find a different hero and wait for buffs as clearly he’s getting one the next patch.
Yes, simply because despite the hero being awful my teammates refuse to stop picking it.
The remnant nerf is why did it for me and I’m sure everyone else. No point in playing the hero if you can’t do those sick outplays.

Started with the battle fury glass cannon, then the magic meta with radiance/veil, then maelstrom kaya/sange, then maelstrom aghs/refresher

THis hero has been way too good for too long just like pango rn. Can literally be first phase picked into any matchup (except huskar and mk). Fits any draft. Does way too many things.

Ember has been meta in the entire history of Dota 2 and since his release in Dota 1 (which I actually remember). I’m ok with him on the sideline for a bit.
Yeah i miss owning him in midlane as a huskar. But seriously, i do think he was overnerfed. His sleight feels so slow it’s so bad
