He concedes rebounds, doesn’t defend the perimeter, doesn’t get back on transition. He does not rotate so he expects his teams to read his mind and cover up for him. Lebron is the GOAT in my eyes but at this stage of his career you need strong defenders around him to make up for weaknesses. Lebron has to be the worst defender in the lineup for the team to be competitive on the highest stages. That’s why Reaves and Dlo don’t work defensively with Lebron.

While Brons defense sometimes is bad and leads to losses, the game against Philly had nothing to do with Bron’s D, Maxey was cooking Prince and Christie, Joel was easily bating AD into fouls, letting Pat Bev shoot open 3s, and guards helping AD which lead to open 3s for Morris and Melton, were the reason we lost.

This team feeds off the energy from Lebron. It’s why our first quarters have been lackluster because Lebron doesn’t come out with energy. When he turns it up in the 4th, the rest of our guys turn it up too. It’s a problem that needs to be worked on.

Also blaming last night on just Lebron is bullshit. Lebron wasn’t defending maxey raining 3s on us. He wasn’t responsible for the Lakers doubling Embiid at the 3 point line. He didn’t give Beverly 10 feet of space to take warm up 3s.
He wasn’t good defensively but none of the Lakers were.
