Who is Todd Bowles? Todd Bowles was an awesome defensive coordinator for us. Todd Bowles was a leader of a defense who was tenacious, and who loved and respected him. Todd Bowles and his defense is the reason we have a second Super Bowl, after completely shutting down the electric chiefs. Todd Bowles will be in our ring of honor one day.
So how about you all chill the fuck out. Bowles is not a great head coach. Bowles shouldn’t be retained as our head coach next year. This is fine. But for all of you spewing garbage like it’s the end of the world, calling for his head after every loss, how about you get a grip and think bigger picture than right now. I mean the bigger picture involves him not being in it.
I realize he’s very likely not getting fired mid-season and we as fans need to just ride the season out, which sucks and makes a lot of us feel helpless, but we just have to hope there’s some kind of silver lining to look forward to next season.
I appreciate the defense he led in 2020 and hell even most of 2021 but 1-2 years of being a good DC doesn’t mean he’s getting enshrined in our ring of honor or negate the fact that he wasted Brady’s final season and is a huge part of why this season has been total ass.
It’d be one thing if the Superbowl was last year and maybe Bowles defense was just having an off year, but that was 3 years ago now and it’s been going way downhill every season since.

Also for this, just go back in time and remember the Schiano, Morris, Smith, Koetter days. Calling for our coaches head after every loss is a Buccaneers tradition at this point. Brady fans have grown up with 1 coach.
Todd bowls WAS a great defensive coordinator. He has shown twice now he is not successful as a head coach calling a defense. He’s also shown an inability or unwillingness to adapt to the game changing. So yes, I’m grateful for that awesome 2020 defense and super bowl win, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be critical of him now.
