I doubt it unless we literally have no better options willing to sign here. As you mentioned I think Licht’s not on the line yet but his seat is certainly warming up and he can’t really afford another coaching failure.

I very much disagree with you here, but would like to hear your thoughts on what realistic option we had that would have that would have overcome the poor coaching we’ve had? We had Tom Brady last year and Bowles couldn’t make that work.

I mean the bigger picture involves him not being in it.

I realize he’s very likely not getting fired mid-season and we as fans need to just ride the season out, which sucks and makes a lot of us feel helpless, but we just have to hope there’s some kind of silver lining to look forward to next season.

I appreciate the defense he led in 2020 and hell even most of 2021 but 1-2 years of being a good DC doesn’t mean he’s getting enshrined in our ring of honor or negate the fact that he wasted Brady’s final season and is a huge part of why this season has been total ass.

It’d be one thing if the Superbowl was last year and maybe Bowles defense was just having an off year, but that was 3 years ago now and it’s been going way downhill every season since.

Also for this, just go back in time and remember the Schiano, Morris, Smith, Koetter days. Calling for our coaches head after every loss is a Buccaneers tradition at this point. Brady fans have grown up with 1 coach.

Yeah I’m sure as a person Bowles is a good guy and it’s great that the players really seem to like him, I’m confident he’s doing what he thinks is best for the team, but some people just aren’t cut out for certain jobs and his best is not what this team needs to succeed.

He’ll get a job again as a DC most likely as his track record there has been overall good, but his defense suffers more when he’s a HC.

He could legitimately get that all Sunday if things go well for us. Got 207 yards our last time playing them and 96 the game before (which was in spite of some major drops).

Tanking is no sure fire success but we’re also supposedly not tanking right now and still slated for a top 10 pick because our coach sucks.

He’s also only 1 TD behind Devante Adams in career TD’s now and if they both keep their current pace Evans will finish the season with 95 TDs and Adams should finish with 93. Which would make Evans the current active TD receptions leader. and then Evans should hit 100 TDs next year.

Legit feel bad for Baker, his career so far has been him constantly being let down by his coaches and it only continues here. Hard to hate the guy with how he literally gives it his all on the field. He’s been robbed of like 4 TDs the past two games due to drops.

When we fire Bowles though I imagine Baker is gone too with a new HC probably wanting to revamp this team.
