How do we human beings keep picking such ignorant leadership? All over the world, morons trying to push their bullshit on everyone else.

That’s the thing, no one picked Andy Burnham to be Prime Minister, except the handful of MP’s who nominated him. He didn’t run an election as leader of the party, and because no one stood against him he wasn’t even elected by the party.

UK is way past saving. The government needs to go. Start over without the monarchy while you’re at it.

Are they going to arrest bus and train drivers that transport protestors too?

Barristas that served them a coffee beforehand?

How far back does the help need to be to count? Will GPs be arrested for caring for and ensuring the protestors are physically well enough to attend?

In thr Epic Rap Battles of History episode Rasputin vs Stalin, Stalin announces intent to have him, his family, his friends and “anyone who ever sold you pierogi” shot and this kinda reminded me of that line.

So they’ll arrest anyone supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action (and they’ll sentence them as terrorists even if there are no charges of terrorism). And they’ll arrest anyone supporting the people supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action. And now they’ll arrest anyone supporting the people supporting the people supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action. What on earth are they going to do if people show up supporting the people supporting the people supporting the people supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action? And if they keep this up, will it widen exponentially until they’ve arrested everyone in the UK by the middle of next week?

Liberalism serves business and believes creating the best market conditions for businesses is the way to a prosperous society.

The change came about when the third way was chosen as the way forward.

Neoliberalism serves business. That’s literally the type of liberalism referenced in your link, which was combined with social democratic philosophy to form the third way.

I don’t know how much “social democratic philosophy” is left when you get rid of the socialists, and choose Capitalism as your defining financial preference/policy.

You need elements of redistribution and market intervention to have a genuine socially democratic philosophy. The things “Market Liberalism” introduced as “economic rationalism” took over the establishment left were: Privatization, liaising with big business, tax reduction, restrictions on unionism, enterprise/individual bargaining, financial deregulation… so I think claiming there’s anything “socially democratic” left at that point is a bit rich.

It was an attack on humanism in my opinion.
