Since everyone has decided the best thing we can do is dump AOC, give up 3 firsts and get a top QB in this draft I thought you might want to see this. I know we currently sit at 11 so we could get QB 6th or 7th best of the draft who is always the best one but that means loosing out which means finding a new HC and probably GM going into the draft which should work great for us. If there is one thing the Raiders do well it higher head coaches.
This was posted and discussed a couple of times. I’m not sure what you think will happen in the draft where you think the 6th or 7th QB will be selected at 11 (current spot), that is QB 3/4 territory.
I’m not sure where you’re reading everyone wants to “dump” Aidan, it’s not here. Most people acknowledge that Aidan is a good QB, but has his limitations. Those limitations. He has the rest of the season to improve, but he may not. If he’s not our certified starter then it makes sense to discuss a future starter QB. That doesn’t mean “drop Aidan”, it means keep Aidan as a backup at minimum and possibly a starter while rookie gets their legs. Having two good young QBs is not a bad thing to have.
He looks like a serviceable QB who will be a great game manager with enough experience and proper coaching. He lacks mobility and struggles under pressure. Stereotypical won’t win you games and won’t lose you games. He will be Carr 2.0, and I liked Carr. But you don’t move on from Carr and pass on a potentially great rookie QB class because you found a surprisingly better than average QB in the later rounds. Keep swinging for the fences until you get an elite talent.
Jets, Bears, Browns, Jags & Giants motto right there baby. Batters up!
