It’s a recurring theme I’ve seen around since even OW1. People act like using hitscan is just the epitome of skill, and projectile is braindead.

But uh… Projectile has to account for travel time (leading) and bullet drop, enemies can react to your projectile in the air even if you aimed properly, and you almost always have a much lower fire rate. Sure Hanzo can spam arrows all day and land a lucky one eventually, but to be entirely accurate with projectiles takes a lot of effort.

Meanwhile, hitscan, you just put your cursor on someone and hold down LMB. There is no thinking, your bullet just hits.

Why exactly do people believe hitscan is harder to use?
