The fact that something like Facebook exists without public oversight or control is absolutely insane … if your national public rely heavily on one source for the majority of the information and communication, what do you think is going to happen? Is like saying that there is only one company that owns every newspaper across the country and they are allowed to self regulate themselves.

Just less evil. There is no way to ethically acquire that amount of money. Most people don’t truly understand how much money $1 billion USD actually is. And the only way to achieve it is to exploit others, make money off of investing in the exploitation, etc.

Technically you also can’t buy food without exploitation, nor retire. And it’s not even unique to capitalism either, socialism also exploits people for others’ sake, the only thing that changes is the number of beneficiaries.

That’s totally disingenuous. The scale is totally different. Removing enough money for tens or hundreds of thousands people to have comfortable lives with maybe a year or two of forcing others to overwork themselves for your vision and then not only hoarding it for the rest of your life, but using it to fund further exploitation by “investing” that money in those exploitative companies to exploit more and more. Comparing that to wanting to survive and being forced to purchase food and shelter using money you spent your entire lifetime overworking for from those exploitative companies is a totally different thing in so, so many ways.
