What if we replaced Melton with Bridges? What would we need to give up to give him?

I’m not a “Big3” kinda guy. I look at what the Nuggets did, what the Bucks did and I’m hoping this team can emulate that. Its been a while since I’ve watched Nets games, is Bridges considered ball dominate? If not we should go all in on him. Above all else we need consistency, a second ball handler and good defense. I think Bridges fits all of those qualities, plus when Maxey sits he can go off and keep things afloat. I know he getting star player treatment but Im hoping he can do for us what MPJ did for the nuggets, if he can fit that role then this team will be built to last.

Thoughts?

    2 choices:

    1. He sits at home never to be used again, write it off as back injury. We still have Bridges which is a net positive. We use Ben in a S&T in the offseason because he’s an expiring contract.

    2. He plays as a role player with NO expectations. He builds up stock, you work out a trade this offseason.

Either way: there’s no bad side compared to two years ago, besides trading Tobias.
