Nuggets proving that they are currently still the team to beat in the West.
-
Thunder will learn a lot from this game. It doesn’t matter if they lost by 1 or 51 points. The loss counts just the same in the standings.
-
The shots were not falling for the Thunder today and the Nuggets were getting everything to fall. That happens.
-
Wallace continues to prove he belongs as a starter on an NBA team. What a steal in the draft based on what we have seen so far.
-
Dort’s treys didn’t fall tonight, but they were good shots. I don’t have a problem with the shots he took today.
-
Holmgren is a STUD but as I have been saying we still need a big body inside to match up with a team like the Nuggets. That player is not on the roster.
-
Giddey threw out another stinker tonight. He wasn’t the reason we lost but he sure did nothing to help the cause.
-
JWill would have been a positive in a game like this.
-
Micic hasn’t quite fit in yet with the other players but the potential is there. Going to have to ride out the rough patches with him. Playing time will help that.
-
Poku looked lost in his limited minutes.
-
Joe’s three point shots are not falling. That’s a concern. It’s his main value to the team.
-
SGA looked to have a bit of an off night. That’s ok, he doesn’t have many.
-
Glad to see Chet get up off the floor after the elbow to the face/head/neck. He’s a scrapper. Should have resulted in an ejection —it was flagrant.
-
Nothing worked in this game. But you can tell that Denver plays tighter when the game is tight. Need to get an early start on them if you want to beat them.
-
Coach D needs to emphasize getting Jocic into foul trouble early.
-
If winning is going to shift into focus over development,Giddey’s minutes have to be cut.
